Welcome Aboard, Konrad Mayer – From Black Holes to Business Solutions
From black holes to business processes - Konrad Mayer joins PhixFlow to help customers turn complex challenges into clever solutions.
At PhixFlow, we’re always on the lookout for people who can think deeply, solve creatively, and bring just the right mix of logic and curiosity to the team. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Konrad Mayer, our newest Implementation Consultant – armed with a background in theoretical physics, a love of sci-fi, and a knack for building brilliant solutions that just work.
Yes, you read that right, Konrad studied black holes at Oxford. While most of us were trying to figure out how to use Excel formulas properly, he was diving into the mysteries of space-time and gravitational singularities. These days, though, his focus is on solving slightly more terrestrial challenges: like making billing systems talk to each other or untangling messy enterprise processes.
Before joining PhixFlow, Konrad worked in software implementation, delivering systems for clients across multiple industries, predominantly in the finance sector. He’s no stranger to complexity, and he’s the kind of person who thrives on taking it apart and putting it back together better.
What drew Konrad to PhixFlow?
“What stood out to me about PhixFlow is the flexibility offered by the platform. It can be used for any number of business applications and data processes. The product has great potential and is highly scalable, and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and delivering valuable solutions to our clients!”
In his Spare Time
When he’s not helping customers get control of their data chaos, Konrad’s likely to be:
- Deep into The Expanse series by James S. A. Corey (because once a space nerd, always a space nerd),
- Out cycling or on a padel court,
- Brushing up on the finer points of video game development,
- Or chasing a shuttlecock in a heated game of badminton.
Welcome to the team, Konrad. We can’t promise to solve the mystery of black holes anytime soon, but when it comes to fixing messy business processes and giving data a sense of purpose, we’re glad to have your brain on board.
